Sumr v2.50: PDF summarization, content badges, and smarter titles
Sumr now reads PDFs. Share a file or tap a link - get a summary. Plus content type badges, search filters, redesigned onboarding, and better title extraction for PDFs and videos.
Sumr v2.50 is out on the App Store.
The headline: PDF summarization. Share a PDF from Files or tap a PDF link in your browser - Sumr reads it and gives you the summary. Works with research papers, reports, invoices, anything. PDF is a cloud feature, so it requires a Sumr subscription.
Content type badges
Every summary now shows a badge - Web, PDF, Video, or Text - so you can tell at a glance what each one is. Search got filters too, making it easier to find what you need in a growing library.
Smarter titles
Sumr now extracts the real document title from PDFs and videos instead of falling back to the filename. Research papers show their actual title, not paper_final_v3.pdf.
Redesigned onboarding
The first-run experience got a full rebuild. It actually explains what Sumr can do now - web, video, PDF, text - instead of assuming you already know.
UI polish
More Liquid Glass refinements for iOS 26 across the app.
